Three stand alone evenings with repeated and night specific performances to honor the Dark Fae and Repressed Feminine
The Scorpio New Moon Concert Series is intended as ceremonial preparation of entering the Scorpio New Moon Portal, which occurs on November 8th at 11:02 pm.
This Concert Series is will feature songs both ancient and original, weaving polyphonic tapestries to honor the seasons and cycles. Dancers, poets and actors will feature experimental and personal pieces in a variety of group and solo performances throughout. Focusing on New Moon energetics and the impending darkness of the winter season, performances aim to unveil and integrate the hidden parts self, ranging from wild and feral to clean and precise.
Performers call upon the Dark Fae- the spirits that are not particularly polite or palatable, but rather honest and chaotic catalysts. These creatures and spirits are essential for revealing truth. They demand confrontation and integration, and reject the false peace of toxic positivity and bypassing.
Related to the Dark Fae is the Repressed Feminine- the social conditioning that harms us all by insisting we remain small in our expression of self. This conditioning keeps us ashamed of our softness, sadness and silliness. These are all vital parts of the human that must be honored and accepted, or they may become bitter and caustic within us. The consequences of repressing the feminine are not only devastating, but existential. We cannot exist without it.
